Highlights of the AGM
The AGM of the Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester League was held at the Platt Lane Complex on Tuesday 24th June 2008
A big thank you was extended to Phil Platt, the retiring League secretary who has served the league for 6 years. Phil stays on the committee as welfare officer. A warm welcome to Chris Dyson who takes over from Phil as League Secretary
New clubs, Beechfield United, Bury Amateurs, and Standians were welcomed into the league
Three clubs leaving the league, Irlam and Wigan Robin Park, who are promoted to the North West Counties League, and Milton, who leave us because of ground difficulties, were all wished the best of luck.
Cup draws were made for the Gilgryst Cup, Murray Shield, and the Open Trophy. The draw for the League Cup, to be known as the Bridgewater Cup, will be made soon and advised in due course.
The sponsorship deal with Bridgewater Office Supplies has been renewed and will run for a further two years. MD Steve Edmunds has some interesting plans and proposals for the coming seasons.
Finally, the Premier Division and 1st Division will kick off on the 16th August, Division 2 will start on the 23rd August, and Divisions 3 and 4 will start on September 6th
