The most important aspect of this game was the victory and Avro's players duly obliged with a well deserved win at AFC Bury. The game was spoiled by the poor state of the Bury pitch which limited the opportunities for good football. After a goal-less first half, Avro sped into a 2 goal lead, courtesy of strikes from MOM Lee O'Brien and the prolific James Hampson. Despite Bury pulling a goal back, Chris Young sealed the victory for Avro with his first goal for the club after great work from Antony Robinson. The back four of Cogger, Edge, Jackson and O'Brien were solid throughout and the midfield of Young, Barnes-Gott, Connor and Howells played some good football despite the conditions. Avro march into the semi-final's of the Gylchrist Cup and will face either East Manchester or Springhead in the semi-finals.
