AVRO v GLOSSOP
All players played really well today especially taking into consideration that we played a team from Division 1. It looks like we may be moved upto Division 1 for next season due to our recent run of good results ;O) This stems from working well as part of a team and children becoming good friends. I'd also like to take this opportunity to mention that I'm extremely lucky that all parents are keen, friendly and very supportive which makes my job as manager alot easier. I can't take all the credit for Avro's U7's success this season as Leon does a fantastic job for the team both at training and the matches. Along with the help from Chris who has played a vital role in Avro's U7's success and also has helped me out immensely by showing me the ropes in my first year as manager. It is however the hard work of each and every player who have shown great progression in their individual abilities from when they came to the first avro training session. This hard work has payed of in a superb display of football today.
Match 1 & Match 2
Ged
Thomas
Lee
Junior
Reiss
Jack W
Joe
Lewis
Harvey
Match players were mixed and matched in both games
Ged - Outstanding as ever today, really pleasing to see him recognising danger when coming off his line when in a one on one situation.
Reiss - For me one of the most improved players this year showing great awareness, discipline and technical ability, as well as chipping in his fair share of goals of late.
Thomas - Amazing as every!!! Thomas has played superb all season. For me Thomas is one of the best defenders around at his age.
Lee - Massive improvement in Lee's all round game. He now puts in challenges, tackles and works hard always. Lee has now recognised that it's not all about scoring.
Junior - Always been a good defender and of late has found his confidence. His lightning pace can get him from one end of the pitch to the other and he has recently found his eye for goal.
Joe - Joe has always been good in any position given to him. If this kid gets out of second gear he would be absolutley frightening.
Lewis - Lewis is a good all round player. He is strong in the tackle, has good passing ability and is a frequent scorer for Avro's.
Jack W - The most improved player this season. Jack has come along way and is now recognising that he plays a vital role in the team. Very well done Jack great progress.
Harvey - Quite pleasing to see that Harvey has learnt that he doesn't have to take on the world and is now passing more to his team mates.
Today's goal scorers:- Reiss 2 goals, Harvey 1 goal, Junior 1 goal,
Results - 1st match 1-0 to Avro's ;O)
2nd match 3-1 to Avro's ;O)
Well Done Avro's ;O)
